Outdoor Boys is retiring from YouTube after amassing 14 million subscribers in 11 years.

According to Outkick, the hugely successful channel is ‘run by father-of-three Luke Nichols.’

Yesterday, May 17, a video entitled ‘goodbye’ was uploaded to the channel, announcing the channels retirement.

The video gained a massive 8.6 million views in less than a day.

The video announced: “Hey, everyone. This is going to be my last video for a while.

The creator said he has made over 1,000 videos, calling it a ‘wild ride’.

He added that there have been ‘so many late nights’ running the channel.

Despite the ‘wonderful memories’ of his channel, but ‘even good things can be taken too far’.

“The sheer volume of fans trying to talk to me… can be overwhelming at times,” he added. 

The creator said he and his wife were concerned about the impact the attention would have on their family, and whether they could live normal lives if he continued.

The news left his subscribers stunned.

One wrote on X: “One of the most wholesome creators on the platform stepping away due to the fame and to focus on helping others/his children’s channels.”

Another said: “This genuinely bummed me out such a genuine dude that I saw as an exemplary figure to look up to an admire.”
