Did you pay your Irish Water bill?
A full refund could be on the way for people who paid their Irish Water charges. The refund is down to a group of TDs who are putting together a report for the Dáil on the future of the company.
They will also be putting forward recommendations to give refunds to people, which will be presented to the Dáil in March where a vote will be cast.
According to The Irish Times, the general consensus is to refund the money but the decision still needs to be made on how to do this. Either through cash refunds, tax credits through Revenue or to develop an opt-in, opt-out system.
The total amount that will need to be refunded has yet to be calculated.
The 20 TDs are due to meet this week to finalise their report.
