Some nasty comments were posted online on the night of the attack.
Last week, a rock that had homophobic slurs written on it was thrown through the window of a popular Dublin gay bar.
The incident took place on Friday, the night before Dublin Pride parade took place.
The stone had the words “pitegoa amach as Eireann” on it, which loosely translates to “fairies out of Ireland”.
The culprit was very quickly caught by bar managers and bouncers, and was arrested soon after…
Word of advice: never return to the scene of the crime.
Brick tosser already caught – by bar manager Shane and bouncer Aaron while he was running from the cops! Idiot already arrested.
Young closet… sorry… I mean young guy. 😄
Why'd he do it?

As nasty a crime as this was already, it looks to be even more horrible that it first appeared.
A number of comments have appeared on the website 4Chan by an anonymous user, and they seem to suggest that the homophobic attack was clearly well thought out.
An Irish journalist named Matthew Mulligan uncovered the comments on the website, which are yet to have been deleted.
The Gardaí weren’t initially treating the case as a hate crime, but these online messages might change the way that they look at the events.
The anonymous poster referred to the act as a “hate crime” himself, as well as using some nasty homophobic slurs.
