“Partial body remains” found in burnt out vehicle in Dublin

The vehicle was located in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Gardaí have discovered “partial body remains” in a burnt out vehicle in Drumcondra in Dublin.

Gardaí attended the scene of a burnt out vehicle located on Trinity Terrace, off Clonliffe Avenue in Drumcondra, in the early hours of Wednesday morning (15 January).

Gardaí said that “partial body remains” were located in the burnt out vehicle and due to the nature of the incident, it will be some time before proper identification can be confirmed.

The Garda Technical Bureau have been notified, as well as the Office of the State Pathologist and the coroner.

The assistance of Forensic Science Ireland will also be sought.

Investigations are ongoing.
