Paul Galvin puts Twitter troll firmly in his place

Well played Paul Galvin, well played.

JOE

Well played Paul Galvin, well played.

We’re used to saying that Paul Galvin played well on the pitch, but off it, we have to congratulate him for how he played this Twitter troll after a snide comment in the Kerry man’s direction.

At this stage the GAA star is well used to derogatory comments fired in his direction, generally water of a duck’s back to the Finuge man.

Galvin received a tweet with two questions, the first of which seemed genuine, whether he ever gets stick off the Kerry lads for his taste in fashion. The second question however was a little more ridiculous, even if it was meant in jest.

The Kerry forward was quick and emphatic with his response.

You could argue it was immature – we haven’t heard a “your ma” putdown in a while, but look at the nature of the question. Sometimes you have got to fight fire with fire.
