Great news.

Former Ireland footballer Paul McGrath says his son Paul has been located.

McGrath had posted a tweet yesterday saying that he was concerned for his son, who he said may have been spotted at various airports in the United Kingdom.

On Friday, McGrath confirmed Paul had been found in the UK and thanked social media and the Metropolitan Police for their assistance.

McGrath wrote: “Thanks to the power of social media & Metropolitan Police my son Paul has been located. The love and support shown to myself and my family has been phenomenal. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.”

On Thursday evening, the Irish footballing legend had issued a plea on Twitter, writing: “Please retweet. Looking for social media help please. Has anyone seen my son Paul in around Hale, Manchester , London or any airports in the past few days? Police have been informed but we are very concerned and someone somewhere might have spotted him #thankyou.”
