Pedestrian in her 60s seriously injured after collision with motorcyclist in Dublin

A woman has been seriously injured following a road crash in Dublin on Friday (27 May).

The collision occurred on Amiens Street in Dublin 1 at around 1.20pm and involved a pedestrian and a motorcyclist.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to the Mater Hospital where her condition is currently described as serious.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was also taken to the hospital where he remains in treatment for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Gardaí are now appealing for any witnesses who were in the North Strand/Amiens Street areas on Friday between 1pm and 1.30pm and who may have footage, including dashcam footage, to make it available to them.

Investigations into the collision are ongoing.
