Yes, people noticed…
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Tory leader Theresa May did not face off in an election debate on Monday night, but they did face questions in front of a live studio audience as well as a grilling by Jeremy Paxman.
It was all shown live on Channel 4 and Sky News.
We’ve already seen that Corbyn came out on top of the Jeremy v Jeremy battle last night.
After fielding questions on the IRA and the use of armed police on the street, Corbyn was asked a question by a member of the audience called John.
John claimed to like Labour policies but he wasn’t sure about Corbyn himself.
Corbyn tried to convince the man to vote for him and pointed to his mouth and ears, saying that he intended to be a listening leader.

But as many people pointed out at the time, the gesture he used was a rather unfortunate one.
