Pic: This field in Laois may have the only teddy bear bale sculpture in the world

It's a teddy bale...

Paul Moore

The teddy bales are spreading…

A few weeks ago, we brought you the news of an unbelievably cool bale sculpure in Tipperary in the shape of a truck.

This structure that was snapped in Thurles was made to promote the Tipperary truck show and was the most creative use of round, square, wrapped and unwrapped bales that we have seen… until now.

Earlier today we were sent this image from JOE reader Brian Harrington whose mate created this brilliant teddy bear bale sculpture in Durrow, Laois.

Apparently, teddy bears and hay are more popular than tea and biscuits because we have just been sent this image of another sculpture.

JOE reader Grainne Glenny sent us this image of Ireland’s biggest teddy bear bale, known as Spud, which was built to celebrate the Flavours of Fingal Festival and stretches over 20ft high and 10 ft wide.

So what do you think guys? Has anyone seen any other bale sculptures that can top these?

If you have seen anything that you think is on a similar level to these two sculptures then feel free to send it into us.
