The lucky, lucky b*stard…
There’s not much to be said here because the perfect picture below speaks for itself. JOE reader and Sligo man Noel Barrett got in touch and sent in this absolutely brilliant image of his brother Ronan kicking Father Ted’s Bishop Len Brennan (actor Jim Norton) up the arse, all while Norton just happened to be dressed as a priest.
It really was one of those ‘when the planets align’ moments that the rest of us can only dream of, and we’re pretty sure that, in true Father Ted style, the Barrett bros will be getting the picture blown up, ten by ten.

My brother Ronan has been a massive fan of Fr. Ted since he was 4 years old… he made a Fr. Dougal doll when he was 5 and a half. He would not go to sleep at night until he drank a cup of really strong tea and heard the opening music to Fr. Ted! Weird I know!!!
But anways! He was on a religious retreat with some fellow students from Maynooth the other week and while they were visiting some church they came across a movie being shot! And who did they meet but Jim Norton!!!! The guy who plays Bishop Brennan!!!!
