The late politician's husband released a heartbreaking and powerful statement in the aftermath of the tragic incident, paying tribute to Cox's "energy, and a zest for life that would exhaust most people." Many kind words have been shared by figures from various walks of life since the news broke, including Irish rock icon Bono, who posted this kind message on U2's Instagram account.
