Davitt Walsh saved baby Rionaghac-Ann from the tragedy in Buncrana.
The Buncrana tragedy is still very raw and fresh in the minds of the nation, when Sean McGrotty, his young sons Mark and Evan, his mother-in-law Ruth Daniels and her daughter Jodi Lee Daniels all lost their lives, after the car they were travelling in slipped off Buncrana jetty and into Lough Swilly.
Davitt Walsh was able to save the life of four-month-old baby, Rionaghac-Ann, by jumping into the water and retrieving the infant.
Afterwards, he gave RTÉ a harrowing account of what transpired.

As reported by Donegal Sport Hub, Davitt made his return to football on Sunday afternoon, when his side, Fanad United, took on Derry City Reserves.
Before the game, Davitt was given a guard of honour by both his own team and the opposition, as well as officials and supporters.
