Pic: Defiant poster in Stillorgan encourages interesting method of dealing with recent rise in robberies

The residents of Stillorgan parish are mad as hell at a spate of recent robberies and they’re not going to take it anymore.

We can only imagine the frustration that comes with having your house burgled and loads of your valuable possessions taken off your hands by gangs of no-goodniks but the typical and recommended response to being the victim of such a crime is to get the law involved or to update the security at your abode. In light of a recent rise in robberies in the Stillorgan area, however, at least two residents (we say two because of the use of the word ‘we’ in the poster below) are encouraging their neighbours to adopt a more old-school method of justice in an attempt to deal with the ‘sewer crawling rats’ responsible for the crimes. We’re pretty sure such methods are not advocated by the residents of Stillorgan as a whole, while encouraging violence and the use of the term ‘extermination’ is bound to cause offence to the less hostile residents who would prefer a more traditional approach to dealing with crime in the area.
