A deliberate dig by one Kerry town at another or simple human error?
The Rose of Tralee finished up last night with the Texas Rose, Haley O’Sullivan, walking off with whatever it is the winner gets for enduring a hot chat in a tent with Daithi O’Se.
But arguably the bigger story was the Sydney Rose’s mother. Yes, Fiona O’Sullivan (above), originally from Cork was representing the Aussie city and for some reason that remains unclear to us, her mother was also given a famous sash, this one displaying the name of Kerry town Killarney.
Sadly for Mrs O’Sullivan, the town’s name was misspelled.

While we’re not 100 per cent convinced by Martyn’s conspiracy theory, he deserves a hat-tip for getting a Simpsons reference in.
