If you've ever worked behind a busy bar you'll know it's frantic and it's hard to be on top of everything when you're going from customer to customer. It's a tough gig. One thing bar staff everywhere have to look out for is counterfeit money because fake notes can easily be slipped across the bar counter unnoticed. The level of sophistication of the design of fake money now is excellent so it's really hard to tell if you've been given a dud. Saying that, the lads in Harry Byrnes in Clontarf should probably have noticed something was up earlier this week. A €30 note? Well played.
