PIC: Gardaí in Meath investigated after letting male strippers perform for them

Tony Cuddihy

And the award for the best story of 2016 so far goes to…

…the Meath Chronicle, who have an absolute cracker of a story hidden on page 9 of this week’s paper.

Let’s take a look…

An internal Garda investigation is under way into allegations that female officers in County Meath let male strippers perform for them to get out of a fine.

The Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

The incident is believed to have occurred in the Garda station before Christmas.

It has been reported that men were returning from a gig before Christmas when they were stopped for having no tax disc. Instead of issuing a fine, it has been alleged that they were offered a chance to dance their way out of the penalty.

We just wonder if they kept their hats on?
