PIC: Handsome Donegal election candidate promises female admirer a date if he gets 4,000 likes on Facebook

Conor Heneghan

We like those odds.

There are so many election posters dotted all around the place these days that most people have stopped paying attention, but there’s one in Donegal that continues to catch the eye.

Tim Jackson, from Ballybofey in Donegal, is running as an Independent candidate in the upcoming general election and it would appear as if he’ll have no problem getting votes from a certain section of the local population.

So impressed was Kirsty Buchanan by Jackson’s election posters that she sent him a message on Facebook asking for a date, with Jackson eventually agreeing to the request on one condition: that he gets 4,000 likes on his campaign Facebook page by Thursday.

Tim…I have nearly wracked the car on numerous occasions smiling up at your face on the roads … If this election was going on looks, you would get my No.1 ???

At the time of writing, Jackson’s page has 2,667 likes so there’s every chance that it will reach the magic 4,000 by Thursday.

Even better for Kirsty, like a true gentleman, Tim has agreed to pay for it too.

Call it a date on Thursday then? Tim will be a busy man on Friday after all.
