Shop Street in Galway was absolutely jam packed with Arthur’s Day well wishers at 17:59 this evening and the pic below, which was posted to Reddit by murphy38, shows us just how cramped it was.

While the day itself has been surrounded by controversy, it’s clear that a lot of people were more than happy to raise a pint to Arthur, or Marta, or whoever. The picture below, which was sent into our sister site Her.ie by Marie Kelly, shows us what it looks like from the back of the pack. At least everyone looks to be having the craic.
