Senator Bernie Sanders was in town this weekend for a conversation with his admirers in the Bord Gáis Theatre, and it’s no surprise that our own president was eager to meet with him.
After all, Michael D has spent his life advocating for the kind of ideology that made Bernie such a popular figure when he competed with Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination in 2015 and 2016.
Senator Sanders and his wife met up with Michael D at Áras an Uachtaráin, and the photo has emerged on Twitter.
