Gardaí have a shared a photo of their speed camera after it spotted a driver going more than twice the speed limit in Donegal.
The driver, who was stopped by the Traffic Unit in Buncrana, had been driving at 168km/h in an 80km/h zone. 168km is the equivalent of over 104 miles.
According to the Gardaí, who posted the story to their Twitter account, the driver was “arrested and taken to Garda Station where further breath analysis [was] carried out.” The breath analysis found the driver to be over the legal alcohol limit, according to the the tweets.

Drivers are often far more reckless behind the wheel of a car after drink has been taken, and less in control of their actions, so this story is yet another reminder of why it’s imperative that nobody should ever drink and drive.
