Not the smartest editorial decision.

Danish broadsheet Politiken has sparked controversy after publishing a graph that rated famous black people like Martin Luther King, Barack Obama and Jay-Z on a varying scale of evil.

Unsurprisingly, the image has caused some heated responses online.

The text (as translated by Google) in Politiken accompanying the piece says, “two black stars have dominated the American public this week: Bill Cosby, who has been revealed as an even more stupid pig than we thought, and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates, who has written the angriest book in a long time. Here we bring the definitive barometer of the black American icons”.

It seems that the piece was intended as satire because the journalist behind the graph later described it as a satirical response but this message wasn’t included on the original post.

Here’s the graph itself along with some of the Facebook replies on their page.

FYI, the word ‘ond’ translates as evil and ‘god’ is good.

Here are some of the replies (again when translated) that this graph incited after it was  posted it to their Facebook page.
