PIC: Photo shows that Ireland is almost rain-free and the weekend looks good as well

Schools are back, cue some good weather

Schools are back, cue some good weather…

Chances are, you got absolutely soaked if you were out and about yesterday and that €2 brolly you bought dissolved in the downpour leaving you soggy and miserable for a few hours.

Combine that with the fact it was Monday and it was a particularly difficult day to get through.

Thankfully though, the outlook for today looks considerably more promising than what we endured yesterday and indeed, for the past few weeks.

This brilliant radar photo was taken of Ireland at 8:45am this morning and shows barely a patch of rain over the country.

We’re just praying that it stays like this for the weekend ahead with some outstanding sporting action on the way, as well as Electric Picnic.

According to Met Éireann, it looks like we could get our wish: “Temperatures [this weekend] will improve slightly, with maximum daytime values of 15 to 18 Celsius, highest in the south and southeast.

“It will be mainly dry, with some sunny spells, but some cloud also, with a slight chance of an isolated light shower. Light to moderate north to northwest winds on Saturday will become light variable by Sunday.”

Hat-tip to the Journal.
