Pic: Possibly the most Irish ‘Out of Order’ sign ever…

This de-faced sign was spotted in Pearse Street Station earlier today and it’s a good example of Irish people’s love for explaining things in a roundabout way by adding in extra words that just don’t need to be there (i.e. it’s a longwinded sign).

The lads from the Irish comedy sketch group ‘Shifts’ recently sent us in this cracking ‘out of order’ sign that’s current up on a vending machine in Pearse Street Station…

It’s the perfect example of Irish longwinded-ness as “temporarily out of use due to the need for repairs” could have been (and was) shortened to just “broken”, or “out of order”. Simples.

Ah sure, at least it gave people something to read while they waited for their train to arrive…
