That’s some diversion.
Storm Barney is very much present with howling winds and heavy showers battering the country at the moment.
The guards have some solid advice for everyone.
He’s big& he’s called Barney but he’s not purple and cuddly, Dangerous wind and rain expected, avoid coast/waterways, light up and be seen

The gusty weather is playing havoc with flights and the difficulty for pilots is best illustrated with the radar path for Ryanair flight RYR3CY from Gatwick to Shannon.
The flight reached Limerick just as Barney started to blow so it had to divert. Look where it’s ended up.

Liverpool, the flight had to divert to Liverpool.
Ryanair released the following statement on the diversion:
“This flight from London Gatwick to Shannon (17 Nov) performed a routine go-around before diverting to Liverpool due to high winds at Shannon Airport. The aircraft landed normally at Liverpool and will depart for Shannon shortly when the weather improves. Ryanair sincerely apologised to all customers affected by this weather diversion which was entirely beyond our control.”
Damn you, Barney!
