Pic: There’s a Ryanair plane for sale for €69 million in Mayo on DoneDeal

A wing wing deal as far as we’re concerned

If you want it, you’d better act fast because the NCT runs out in March.

One of the beauties of DoneDeal is that you’re likely to come across all sorts of stuff on it, but even allowing for that variety, a fully functioning airplane is one of the few things you wouldn’t expect to find. Until now.

Ryanair are known for trying to make a quick buck when the opportunity presents itself but we don’t think Michael O’Leary and company have anything to do with the Ryanair Boeing 737-800 that’s apparently for sale just outside Charlestown in Mayo.

According to the Boeing website, this model normally retails at around €79 million, but this baby is a cool €10 million cheaper than that and comes with everything you’d expect in an aircraft as well as a beaded seat cover and two pairs of noise-cancelling headphones.

The man knows how to sell it anyway, that’s for sure.

The fact that the plane is currently located a mile outside Charlestown leads us to think that the ‘seller’ merely described a plane that’s currently situated in Knock Airport.

In any case, the price, not to mention the line ‘NOT A REAL AD!!!!’ at the bottom of the ad leads us to think that this particular venture isn’t going to get off the ground anytime soon.
