The man gets a bad rap at times but this is a fantastic gesture.
It’s probably safe to say that the Chelsea captain isn’t the most popular of footballers, but one can’t help but be impressed by his gesture to a Chelsea fan whose mother passed away recently.
Terry contacted the fan through Instagram and after sending her a series of messages on the social media site, he followed it up by sending on a signed jersey, a picture of which the grateful fan posted on Twitter with a message of appreciation to the Blues defender.
