This is very very cool...

You may have heard that there was to be a meteor shower last night and it didn't disappoint with some great views including this gorgeous one from Galway.

Shot by Gavin Kelly Photography, it shows the Perseid meteor shower passing in front of the Milky Way as seen from the Aran Islands in Galway.

It took him four hours of waiting and probably a good strong flask of tea but the photographer was delighted with the result, and so he should be...
