Pic: This Westmeath lad is somehow in the running to become the cover girl for GOSH Magazine

What a chancer.

What a chancer.

GOSH Magazine are currently holding a competition to find a cover girl for their publication and there’s been loads of entries from every county in Ireland.

As you scroll through the candidates you’ll see plenty of pouts, tea-pot poses, arched backs, filtered photos and all the sneaky stuff to make models look better.

When you reach the candidates from Westmeath you’ll see a different type of model.

A Massey Ferguson (we think) and it’s being driven by aspiring cover girl – Mr Paul McGovern.

Yes, Mister Paul McGovern. His friend Paul Fahy got in touch with us and explained what’s going on.

“A friend of mine decided to enter this competition as a piss-take to become the cover girl for GOSH magazine but obviously whoever was screening the applications obviously didn’t realise that he was in fact a man.

“What started out as a joke has actually caught on and the guy is on a couple of hundred votes.”

Paul asked us to drum up support for his buddy but we have to stay neutral in this instance.

HOWEVER, we will leave this link to Paul’s voting page here and if you all get behind him and make him the cover star, so be it.

Our conscience is clear.
