Pic: Who wants to see a brilliant image of a clamper getting clamped in Dublin?

What's the German word for schadenfreude?

What’s the German word for schadenfreude?

Whenever JOE was asked by our English teacher to provide examples of irony we usually just used the lyrics from Alanis Morissette’s quickly annoying rousing anthem Ironic.

We were always wrong though and we ended up getting extra homework in our first year English class, cheers Alanis.

Rain on your wedding day isn’t ironic, it’s just bad luck just like winning the lottery and dying the next day isn’t ironic, it’s a tragedy.

We know that the clampers are just doing their job most of the time but there have been occasions when we’ve witnessed them taking a perverse pleasure in annoying members of the public.

Croke Park on a game day comes to mind.

That’s why we absolutely love this picture taken near Wolfe Tone Park in Dublin as a clamper gets a little taste of his own medicine.

To all you drivers that that have suffered the annoyance of being clamped, we believe the word is karma.
