Warning: This may be upsetting for some readers.

We were sent something on Snapchat last night that we wanted to bring to your attention.

Darren got in touch to tell us he was looking after a two-year-old terrier dog named Lindsay who had been the victim of an absolutely brutal attack.

A person poured chemicals into the dog’s eye and left her in the Cork road area of Waterford City where she was found a while later.

Lindsay was taken to a local City Vets where she was operated on, her eyes were removed and her eye sockets were stitched up (Image at bottom of article).

Thankfully, she’s recovering well in the vet’s clinic and she’ll be picked up later today by Waterford Animal Welfare who’ll place her in a foster home while she adapts to her new limitations.

Lindsay will then be assessed after a few weeks and, if she responds positively, fingers-crossed she will, then she’ll be put up for adoption.

If you’re interested possibly adopting Lindsay down the line or supporting Waterford Animal Welfare, all of the contact details you need are here.

Scroll down to see Lindsay (warning: readers may find content upsetting).
