The Force has hit Malin Head, Co. Donegal, full-force this week.
Pictures and video footage have emerged from the Inishowen Peninsula of the Star Wars Episode VIII crew gearing up for some serious shooting in Donegal.
A huge convoy of vehicles have entered the town and more than a few stormtroopers have been spotted about the place – although they might just be fans who are going where the action is.
One of the most exciting things we’ve seen so far is the crew building Han Solo’s iconic Millennium Falcon, something which could come in handy for us if the Luas strikes continue.

Members of Ireland’s Emerald Garrison, a Star Wars costuming club, have also been hanging around the area and enjoying what Malin Head has to offer – even stopping for a game of pool in Farren’s Bar, Ireland’s most northerly pub.

Here’s exactly what Malin Head is dealing with in terms of a crew:

Jasus, are they shooting the whole movie up there or what? We look forward to seeing what else they get up to.
