Well played.
Football fans get their fair share of stick, but they have once again shown what a force for good they can be.
The horrifying images of refugees arriving on Europe’s southern shores have shocked and appalled over the last few weeks, with their treatment on arrival becoming one of the continent’s major issues.
With political figures continuing to squabble over the correct approach to dealing with the surge in migrants from war-torn areas, football fans in Germany, and now Scotland (where the Celtic fans also have a great sense of humour, as shown here), have united to send the clear message that refugees escaping hardship and persecution are welcome.
Well done folks.
