PICS: Watch out for this very realistic Netflix scam

leaving Netflix

While some internet scams are pretty transparent, some can be very convincing…

A Netflix scam doing the rounds at the moment falls into the latter category, and we’re glad that Maïa Dunphy has brought it to everyone’s attention.

The email, sent from the address [email protected], asks users simply to update their payment information and reassures them that they won’t be charged.

The user is then redirected to a URL titled “netflix-log-in.norafix.com,” which bears the Netflix logo (so does the email). The website then asks for all your credit card details. Unless you like giving your money to cyber-fraudsters, we advise you keep those details to yourself.

Stay sharp out there folks, and if you notice an email like the above in your inbox, promptly delete it.
