Top marks for effort but this isn’t exactly the greatest snowman we’ve ever seen
It’s November already, so it’s no surprise that the cold weather is here and giving us quite a chill. It’s cold enough, in fact, for the first snowman of the season (that we know of) to have been made in Ireland.
However, someone had to head up Carrauntoohill to assemble what is quite a sad looking figure, but still, fair play to Billy Horan and his father for heading up there and going to all that effort. They found a cigarette but which they put to good use and a cashew nut which became his nose, and the result is this fine piece of Irish craftsmanship, we’re sure you’ll agree.
Unfortunately, it rained shortly after this happened so it seems that he lived a short, but fruitful life.
We’re hoping that there isn’t too much more in the way of snow and ice in the coming weeks like the big freeze, we’d hate to see a few more people have incidents like this.
