Court appearance for man in relation to shooting incident at the Players’ Lounge pub in Dublin in 2010

A man in his 40s was due to appear before The Special Criminal Court on Thursday morning in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in the Players’ Lounge Pub in Dublin in 2010.

The man in question was due in court at 10am on Thursday morning (6 June) in relation to the incident.

The pub, which was owned by footballer Anthony Stokes’ parents at the time of the shooting, is located in Fairvew in North Dublin.

The incident in question saw a lone male, armed with a handgun, approach a group of people standing outside the pub and fired a number of shots, injuring three men.

The Players’ Lounge has since been closed down, as it was burned to the ground following an armed robbery in 2011.
