Heading away over the long weekend?
Popular accommodation website Airbnb has revealed that 2018 is set to see a 30% increase in people using it to book somewhere to stay over the course of the August Bank Holiday.
A report from the company has also revealed that a quarter of the bookings are by families based in Ireland.
There are no huge surprised about which cities and towns are getting the most action, with Dublin City top of the list for bookings overall, followed by Galway City. Killarney, Clifden, Ennis and Kenmare also feature on the top 10 list for overall bookings.

5. Westport, Co Mayo
6. Tralee, Co Kerry
7. Dingle, Co Kerry
8. Clifden, Co Galway

10. Kenmare, Co Kerry
For bookings made by domestic families, Galway is actually the most popular destination, with Dublin in second place, followed by Westport. Enniscrone, Dingle, Letterkenny and Wexford also all made the list.
