Trump wall

Wow.

A state legislator from Arizona has proposed taxing pornography in an effort to raise the funds required to build President Donald Trump’s controversial border wall and end the ongoing government shutdown.

Arizona state Republican Senator Gail Griffin has introduced a new bill that would force computer and phone retailers to install porn-blocking software, which could only be removed for a fee of at least $20.

It’s unclear whether this would be a one off payment or if it would be $20 each time you wish to watch it.

Those in violation, including anyone who deactivates the blocker, would face a misdemeanor charge.

Griffin’s bill stated that the funds raised would be used for a number of goals, one of which would be  “building a border wall between Mexico and [Arizona] or fund border security.”

The account will also provide grants for mental health services, school district, temporary housing, and law enforcement, according to the report in the Arizona Mirror.

Similar proposals have been submitted previously by legislators targeting pornography in Virginia, Kentucky, Alabama, Utah, Rhode Island, and South Carolina but none of these have passed.
