Some delays are likely, according to an airport spokesperson.
Dublin airport has been plunged into chaos following a power outage in Terminal 2.
Huge queues of people were seen lining up outside the terminal this morning as it was reported that a power outage affected the airport at 8am.
In a statement shared on social media, Dublin Airport said: “A power issue which impacted on operations at Dublin Airport for a short period on Sunday morning has now been resolved.
An ESB power outage in the North County Dublin area resulted in a loss of power in parts of Terminal 2.
“The nature of the outage caused an issue with the airport’s back-up generators, which resulted in some delays for passengers checking-in at T2.
“Most flight operations continued as normal throughout the incident.
“daa apologises to all passengers who were inconvenienced by this morning’s issues.
“Dublin Airport’s teams worked to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and to ensure the return of power to T2.
“Following the resumption of power to T2, queues continue to ease but some delays are likely for the remainder of Sunday morning.
“As always, passengers seeking updates regarding specific flights should contact their airline directly.”

Power outage plunges Dublin Airport into ‘chaos’ with large queues outside terminal
A number of passengers were being held outside Terminal 2 this morning as power is being gradually restored.
Others were escorted from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1.
Dozens of those travelling through the airport took to social media to air their frustration.
“Standing her for over an hour zero updates given,” said one. “Not a single message about if flight times will be adjusted.”
Another said: “Power outage in North Dublin causes chaos in Dublin Airport. Apparently there’s no better way to handle this than keeping thousands of people outside in the rain. What an amazing morning!”
A third added: “I hope we make our flight. Already in line for over an hour just to check in.”
