The recall was officially issued on Saturday.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has confirmed the recall of Whitworths Granulated Sugar due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal wire. The implicated batches of the sugar were sold in Dealz stores. As confirmed by the FSAI on Saturday, the product has been recalled as a precautionary measure. Customers that purchased the batches in question are advised to return the product to the store it was purchased from in order to receive a full refund. The 10-digit batch codes related to the affected products are F301U81902 and F301U81933. No other Whitworths sugar products have been affected by the product recall.Whitworths Sugar batch code
