So much has happened in Irish society during 2016 that it's easy to forget some of the biggest events and stories from the past 12 months. Here are some of the biggest stories on JOE during April. 10) Dubliner gets caught rapid after jumping out of a taxi before paying the fare. The note reads: Hi there, I was parked behind you and you were just about to get clamped. I stopped them and bought you a ticket so they wouldn't clamp you. Maybe some day you might do the same. Or you can buy me a pint.  My name is Paraic.  This act of generosity saw him get a date in return. Further proof that no good deed goes unrewarded.

6) RTE's simple but moving tribute to Prince

The world lost one of the most popular and influential musicians of all time as Prince passed away at the age of 57.
