
Report: Malaysian plane 'shot down' on the Ukrainian/Russian border
Russian news agency Interfax are reporting that a Malaysian Airlines plane carrying 295 passengers has crashed near the Ukrainian/Russian border.
A spokesman for Malaysian Airlines has confirmed "an incident" on board a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur and the airline is expected to release a statement shortly.
Malaysia Airlines has lost contact of MH17 from Amsterdam. The last known position was over Ukrainian airspace. More details to follow.

Further reports suggest that an adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry has said that the plane was shot down by a Buk missile fired by separatists and that the plane has been found burning in Eastern Ukraine.
