Belgian police have reportedly arrested Salah Abdeslam, one of the men suspected of carrying out Friday night’s attacks in Paris which left more than 130 people dead.

Abdeslam was reportedly apprehended in Brussels on Monday morning, although there are currently no further details.

The 26-year-old was reportedly stopped by officers in the wake of the attacks but then let go.

Abdeslam’s brother Brahim was named as one of the attackers at the Bataclan concert venue, and he died close to the scene of Friday’s most gruesome attack.

Another brother, Mohammed, was reportedly also arrested in Belgium.

The brothers are believed to be linked to Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the alleged mastermind behind the attacks. Abaaoud is from the Molenbeek area of Brussels and is also suspected of being involved in thwarted attacks on a Paris-bound high-speed train and a church in the Paris area.
