It's been reported that Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty has sadly passed away.
The pop megastar, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is believed to have visited Ronald at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with her brother Rajad Fenty earlier this week.
During an interview with Vogue US in 2011, she described their father-daughter relationship as "really strange" in light of some hurtful revelations.
"You hear the horror stories about people going behind people's backs and doing strange things, but you always think, 'Not my family. My father would never do that to me,'" she explained.
"But my dad went to the press and just told them a bunch of lies. Because he hadn't talked to me after... that whole thing . He never called to find out how I was doing, if I was alive, nothing. He just never called. He went straight to the press and got a cheque. And now he does it again."
This was in reference to Fenty selling information to the media after his daughter was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009.
"It's like, what do I even mean to him? It's really strange. That's the only word I can think of to describe it, because you grow up with your father, you know him, you are a part of him, for goodness sake! And then he does something so bizarre that I can't begin to wrap my mind around it," added Rihanna.
Meanwhile, the 'Umbrella' singer filed and later dropped a lawsuit against her father, accusing him of ignoring several requests to not conduct business on her behalf.
The suit claimed he even attempted to trademark the Fenty name, even though Rihanna's company had already secured the trademark.
