Important news for any Dubliners making plans today.
Gardaí have issued a warning for anyone planning on venturing into Dublin city centre on Saturday (10 November), and for good reason too.
U2 are playing a sell out gig in Dublin’s 3Arena down by Dublin Port, while Ireland’s rugby team take on Argentina in the Aviva Stadium.
As such, drivers are asked to be mindful of the following road closures. Kicking in at 2pm, these roads are going to be closed.
* Lansdowne Park
* Lansdowne Lane
* Lansdowne Road from Shelbourne Road to Herbert Bridge
* Herbert Road
* Newbridge Avenue
* Bath Avenue
* Londonbridge Road
Subsequently the following roads will be closed to through traffic from 4.30pm
* The remainder of Lansdowne Road from Shelbourne Road to Pembroke Road
* Shelbourne Road
*Beatty’s Avenue
* Ballsbridge Avenue
