Gardaí appeal for information on crash that killed teenager and injured three males in Limerick

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to a collision in which a 17-year-old male died and three other males were injured in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Monday night when the car the four males were travelling in – a black Mazda 6 registered number 05 D 7435 – struck a ditch at Tubberyquinn, Ballyneety, Co. Limerick.

A 17-year-old male died at the scene and the other three passengers are currently being treated at University Hospital Limerick.

The car was seen in the Childer’s Road and Roxboro areas in the hour before the crash. It then drove on the motorway and took the Dooradoyle exit.

Gardaí at Roxboro Road Garda Station are asking witnesses, or anyone with information or who may have seen this car prior to the crash, to contact them on (061) 214340.
