The incident took place at the end of October.

A man will appear in court on Friday morning in relation to a hit-and-run incident that took place in late October in which three pedestrians were struck by a car.

The collision occurred at Market Street in Ardee, County Louth at approximately 1.16am on Sunday 28 October.

During the incident, three pedestrians – two women aged 21 and 20 and one man aged 53, respectively – were struck by a silver Vauxhall Vectra.

The car mounted the footpath and failed to stop and was later found crashed and abandoned a short distance away.

All three injured were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda to be treated for various injuries.

A man aged in his 30s is due to appear at Drogheda District Court at 10.30am on Friday morning, 14 December, in connection with the collision.

This follows a public appeal by the Gardaí for witnesses in relation to the incident.
