Sharon Ni Bheoláin’s grilling of Web Summit co-founder Daire Hickey on RTÉ News was one of the big stories of the week in Ireland.
We were all set for another face-off between the state broadcaster and the Lisbon-bound summit organsiers after founder Paddy Cosgrave was booked for The Late Late Show.
Ryan Tubridy announced this morning that Cosgrave would appear on the talk show on Friday night but the Web Summit head honcho has since declined the offer.
Pity, it would have made for some brilliantly awkward television.
