Ryanair launches shiny new website and announce nine new routes from Dublin Airport

Bucharest here we come...

Eoghan Doherty

As well as (quietly) launching their shiny new website, Ryanair has announced nine new routes from Dublin Airport as part of an expansion that will create 300 direct jobs and 1000 indirect jobs.

According to an announcement on the airline’s website, these new jobs will be spread between Shannon and Dublin and will include cabin crew, pilots, engineers, customer service, sales and IT.

The nine new routes will service: Almeria, Spain; Bari, Italy; Basel, Switzerland; Bucharest, Romania; Chania, Crete; Comiso, Sicily; Marrakesh, Morocco; Prague in the Czech Republic and Lisbon in Portugal.

Bucharest!? Happy days – sure everyone and their dog has 14 apartments each out there, all left over from the Boom so we’re already sorted for accommodation. Right Nama?

As well as this welcome job news , the low-cost airline also launched their brand spankin’ new website which, in the humble opinion of this JOE, actually looks quite decent. Well, it’s an improvement anyway and it’s certainly much less tacky than the previous incarnation…

As far as we know there are no hidden charges to view the new-look site but, y’know, being hidden we could be wrong.
