This doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon.

Irish-based Ryanair pilots have announced that they will strike again on Friday 3 August.

The union Fórsa had previously warned that the striking had not finished unless the airline “negotiated in good faith”.

It appears that the union feels that no progress has been made regarding the issue, as Fórsa have announced that another strike will take place among Dublin-based Ryanair pilots on 3 August.

The strike was confirmed by the Irish Airlines Pilot Association (IALPA) on Twitter this morning.

Earlier on Wednesday we reported that Ryanair would potentially cut 300 of its Irish staff this winter.

According to a statement by the company, Ryanair will be cutting its Dublin fleet from 30 planes to 24 over the winter period. As such, over 100 pilots and over 200 cabin staff have been notified that they may not have a job beyond that point.

According to RTÉ, Fórsa said that the: “reckless and unnecessary” move demonstrate’s “management’s unwillingness and/or inability to implement the airline’s declared intention to agree working conditions with its staff by negotiating with their chosen trade union representatives”.
