Easy come, easy go.

This has to be some kind of land-speed record.

In amount of time that can be measured in Britney Spears marriages, Anthony Scaramucci has been removed from his position of Communications Director for the White House by President Trump.

The early reports, coallated by The New York Times, say that Trump fired the Scaramucci just ten days after the initial appointment, which itself was the reason why former press secretary Sean Spicer stepped down from his position last week.

It also arrives just a few days after Scaramucci went to town (verbally) on some of the other senior staff on Trump’s team, which John Oliver already detailed in his latest episode:

According to the report, Scaramucci was removed at the request of White House Chief Of Staff John F. Kelly, after Scaramucci had apparently been heard boasting that he reports directly to Trump, never bothering to report to Kelly like all other staff on the team.

At the moment it is unclear if Scaramucci will be kept on in a different capacity in the White House, or if he has been removed outright.

We look forward to the tweets on the topic by a certain you-know-who…
